One-Click Unroot Now Available For Nook Tablet Via XDA App
« on: December 08, 2011, 03:10:50 PM »

It doesn't get much easier than this.  If you're one of the Nook Tablet owners who chose to root your tablet in order to add the full Android Market or perhaps wanting to put a custom Rom like CM7 on there's now a way to 'unroot' your device and put it back to factory fresh with the stock Barnes & Noble operating system re-installed.   The XDAdevelopers forum has, thanks to member 'Indirect' made available this Android App that let's you bypass the long version of unrooting your new tablet via hooking it up to a PC or Mac and using clockworkmod and instead just pressing a button...or two.

Now using this unroot will wipe out any saved apps or other data that you have since it does 'reformat' your system as part of the process.  Thus you'll want to use some kind of file back up utility to save any data you plan to keep before actually unrooting.  Now, a rooted Nook Tablet still gives you some great benefits like having the Full Android Market on your device and the ability to put custom Roms (when available) on your device.  Still..it's nice to know that the option is there to put it back to a factory stock condition if you want or need to, especially in the case of wanting to return the device.
